I also want to thank the committee chairs and the members who have worked so hard to get this bill to the floor today. Mr. Speaker, I rise in support of H.R. 850, the Nuclear Iran Prevention Act. We know that Iran is attempting to build an illicit nuclear weapons capability in willful defiance of both the U.N. Security Council and the IAEA, and we know the Supreme Leader and the Ayatollahs remain committed to the destruction of Israel, one of our dearest allies. The United States, especially its Congress, has a duty to respond to Iran's actions, not to its rhetoric, so this bill seeks to reduce Iran's oil exports by an additional 1 million barrels a day, which would be a two-thirds reduction from its current levels.…”
