Based on everything I have seen, according to Mr. Cummings, the case is solved.

We need to deal with this but not total amnesty.

I strongly oppose the Senate's--what's referred to as the gang of eight plan because they offer all of these other items of a path to citizenship prior to ascertaining and guaranteeing that the border is secured, that the laws are enforced.

Not one group on the left has been identified for harassment. Hundreds, for years, have been identified on the right.

David Plouffe was on the Sunday shows, and they were discussing the targeting of conservative groups in the tax exempt division of the IRS, and he made the statement that this was not at all political.

I encourage Lois Lerner to come in front of the Oversight Committee and answer the questions of the Members of the United States Congress.

This is an agency in crisis

You do not spend $4 million at a conference for which there is no accountability.

It strikes me as a cultural, systemic, character, moral issue.

This cannot be solved with another Webinar. This can't be solved with just one more recommendation.

According to The Washington Times, the per person spending, today's Washington Times indicates that it was one of the most expensive per individual.

I think what's more telling is at the same time that this agency was targeting individuals for their political beliefs, we have the head of the agency attending the very conference where all this takes place.

This is an agency that is just out of control.

I did notice that in this Anaheim conference, there was a session entitled politically savvy training session, 'how to not shoot yourself in the foot.'

Is it fair to say that the people who run that division would most likely be at one of those 14 conferences held by the Tax Exempt division in the time period?

The only groups who were in fact targeted were conservative groups applying for 501(c)(4) status; no one else was targeted.

I just don't know how you can say it is not severe if you don't have a definition for severe.

What is the definition of severe harm? Without a definition, how in the world are we going to make a determination?

To me, that is the $64,000 question.

It would be nice if we had something objective. It would be nice if you had something objective so we could examine and see whether it makes sense or not.

But if it is just we are going to tell you what we think and we don't think it is severe, well, how do we know?
