we need a national economic policy which protects our nation. We need a national economic policy which respects and reestablishes America as a sovereign Nation. We need a national economic policy which places the interests of the American people first among all international trade agreements. But the World Trade Organization ruled against U.S. regulations on clean air, U.S. consumer protections. They ruled violated WTO rules. The WTO ruled against regulations on hormone-treated beef. Now is the time to take a stand on behalf of our rights as a people to self-determination. The WTO does not care about the rights of the American people. The WTO does not care about the rights of our workers, about our environment. It is the American Congress which must stand up for the people. Outside of America, the international community does not care. We, the Congress, must protect we, the people.
