Mr. Chairman, senior citizens in my district have worked hard their entire lives and, with the help of Social Security, have been able to enjoy their golden years. A favorite pastime of seniors is attending card parties. Seniors enjoy the card playing. It can be fun and challenging as a test of skill and luck. Sometimes people will go from one card party to the other, they enjoy it so much. I see that as I visit my district. Something people do not like, though, is when they know that cards are being played with a stacked deck, a game that is rigged. That is really repugnant to the American sense of fairness. Well, in its efforts to turn Social Security over to Wall Street, the administration has stacked the deck against senior citizens on Social Security, because the administration's Commission on Social Security is stacked with the kings of finance who want to privatize Social Security so they can get money for Wall Street interests.
