The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of subtitle D of title XII of division A of the bill, add the following: SEC. 12XX. LIMITATION ON DEPLOYMENTS FOR NATO MISSIONS. (a) Limitation.--Beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act, the deployment of a unit or individual of the United States Armed Forces in support of a North Atlantic Treaty Organization mission may be made only after express statutory authorization has been obtained from Congress for such deployment. (b) Deployment Defined.--In this section, the term ``deployment'' has the meaning given that term in subsection 991(b) of title 10, United States Code. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 661, the gentleman from Ohio (Mr. Kucinich) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Ohio.
