No one can predict when these things will occur, obviously. But when we are taking these efforts in restoration, are you doing anything to be preventative for, God forbid, another event coming next year or 5 years from now, as we are…

For lack of a better term, you are going to farm that work out.

Great. You asked for money, and I noticed that, following up on Chairman Simpson's question, some of this work you say you are directed by FEMA to do, so you do that work and you are reimbursed.

Do you contract with private partners or private contractors, then, to help do some of this repair work and cleanup work? Or do you rely all in-house?

I commend you on that thoughtful strategy to getting this developed.

You do not balance the budget on the back of your poorest citizens.

We will see a serious balanced budget when we see serious entitlement reform.

The Mulvaney budget, if enacted, would cripple our collective efforts, halt the progress we are making, and undermine the investments we have made to date.

It is clear that funding is vital to sustain an effective Federal, State, and local partnership to restore the Great Lakes.
