the Postal Service should fully fund its retiree health care costs and not only 80 percent

Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan unveiled his fiscal year 2015 budget.

I call on the President to actively engage to secure broad bipartisan support for this bill.

If you use a government service, pay for the government service. If you use airport security, pay for the airport security.

That is another way of saying, ignore our budget because it is not real.

I would just quickly say to my friend from Massachusetts, he should look at the unprecedented original appendix of the trustees' report that talks about the double counting that occurred.

So are we to ignore the fact that you are claiming $12.9 billion in savings from IPAB?

And the question is, where is it coming from? What are those justifications?

The earned income tax credit gives families flexibility and lets them take ownership of their lives.

We also knew the country was looking to us to make some compromises and to show that Government could function and that our democracy could work.

And while we absolutely need to tackle our long-term deficit and debt challenges fairly and responsibly, we now have some breathing room to focus on the other deficits that face our country--our deficits in jobs, our deficits in innovation…

Let us take the opportunity we have here in Congress, finally freed from the manufactured crises, and invest in jobs, broad-based economic growth, and opportunities for our families and communities.

Well, there is a long, drawn-out answer to that.

All this reform does is make a small adjustment for those younger retirees.

Eliminate that cap on contract support costs.

And now these are being confirmed from our constituents.

I mean, directly from our constituents we are hearing these stories about these challenges and their own expenses.

Prior to making such credits and deductions available, the Secretary shall certify to Congress that the exchanges verify such eligibility consistent with the requirements of the act.

But let me ask this question, because I want to better understand how the administration came up with the November 30 date or deadline.
