Congress has given your Department robust funding to make serious investments in projects that would improve infrastructure in our country.

this action would not only damage critical programs that Americans rely on, it would undermine the entire appropriations process

I certainly hope in your role as a very important Member of the majority, that we can expedite these discussions.

Could you tell me why you propose to eliminate this program? It does so much good for our communities.

And so it is a matter of choices. And I would hope that we can continue the conversation so I can encourage you or persuade you to understand the value of these programs.

once again the Trump administration is proposing to eliminate funding for the Regional Coastal Resilience Grant program.

For NYCHA to effectively service tenants, it requires a commitment to robust funding for public housing, for the Public Housing Operation Fund, or the day-to-day operation of NYCHA, and long-term projects of rehabilitating the units.

I hope to work with the Chairman and others to prevent these problems from occurring by precluding the Census Bureau from moving forward with this wrongheaded proposal.
