I hope for the sake of all those being impacted by this crisis that we are able to come together to find meaningful solutions.

Given the fact that the current administration continues to do nothing to address the migrant crisis, I am deeply concerned that this lack of resources and planning will lead to an increase in the number of individuals being trafficked.

My legislation--H.R. 1584, the Plum Island National Monument Act would do just that by designating Plum Island as a national monument.

I urge you all to support this important legislation.

Without any hesitation, he said that this legislation would significantly improve TSA's ability to secure our airports and keep our passengers safe.

I actually have legislation that I've introduced that would ensure that at least the second $250 million that is raised through the fee goes toward technology and checkpoint security.

Americans need to know that its Federal Government will not perpetrate this scam on them, and we need to put a stop to this.

To use September 11 to perpetrate this scam is especially offensive to Americans and New Yorkers especially.

It's a bait-and-switch scam perpetrated by our Federal Government, and hardworking and unknowing Americans are being charged every day and they're the victims.

This is a scam. In the name of aviation security and post-9/11 airport security, you get charged an extra $11.20 every time you fly round trip.

There are tremendous loopholes in how our asylum process is currently administered.

In a system with so many failures, you, sir, are a bright spot, a beacon of hope.

We have made mistakes 100 percent, and after reform that changed, justice reform that came in when it came to discovery information and bail reform, and then we get the blame of why crime is continuing.

I hope that we personify Congress' commitment to ensuring that this city remains safe.

We said we would never forget the troops who were deployed two decades afterwards to ensure this country remains safe.

We said we'd never forget that 22 years ago we were attacked by folks motivated by hatred and envy for our great Nation.

We're also in the process of implementing a program called Community Disaster Resilience Zones--this is directed by Congress--to also give us the opportunity to increase the Federal cost share for these communities.
