Marc J. Molinaro is an American politician currently serving as a member of the United States House of Representatives from New York's 19th congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, he assumed office on January 3, 2023. Prior to his election to Congress, Molinaro served as the Dutchess County Executive and has held various local government positions in New York. His political career has focused on issues such as economic development, public safety, and education reform.
I am cosponsoring the Motor Carrier Safety Selection Standard Act, as you likely know, and certainly understand.
I think it is important that Congress interrogates some of those questions, instead of us kind of throwing our hands up in the air and saying it is a mystery.
What could we point to that would make a legitimate argument that we could make the transition?
It is clear that the EPA over time has allowed cleanup not to meet the expected standard.
I absolutely support transitioning to use of electric vehicles. I find obviously confronting climate change an important priority for this country and for Congress.
