Andrew Cuomo is an American politician who served as the 56th governor of New York from 2011 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he focused on issues such as economic development, healthcare reform, and education during his tenure. Prior to his governorship, Cuomo served as the Attorney General of New York from 2007 to 2010, where he gained recognition for his work on consumer protection and public corruption cases. He also held the position of Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001, advocating for affordable housing and urban development initiatives.
I want to applaud the assemblyman for a really smart and good and impactful campaign.
He inspired [New Yorkers] and moved them and got them to come out and vote.
That's why I qualified for an independent line in November, I did that several months ago, because in the general election, more people come out to vote.
Tonight was Assemblyman Mamdani’s night. He put together a great campaign, and he touched young people and inspired them and got them to come out and vote.
He's never dealt with a natural emergency, a union negotiation, or a hurricane.
