Andrew Cuomo is an American politician who served as the 56th governor of New York from 2011 to 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, he focused on issues such as economic development, healthcare reform, and education during his tenure. Prior to his governorship, Cuomo served as the Attorney General of New York from 2007 to 2010, where he gained recognition for his work on consumer protection and public corruption cases. He also held the position of Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001, advocating for affordable housing and urban development initiatives.
In my first 30 days, I will take every homeless person off the trains and the subway stations and get them the help they need.
I want you to know directly from me that I never touched anyone inappropriately or made inappropriate sexual advances. That's not who I am.
Did I make mistakes, some painfully? Definitely, and I believe I learned from them and that I am a better person for it.
I know what needs to be done and I know how to do it, and I will give it my all to get the job done — and it will get done.
Our city is in crisis. That’s why I am running to be Mayor of New York City. We need government to work. We need effective leadership.
Did I always do everything right in my years of government service? Of course not. Would I do some things differently knowing what I know now? Certainly.
