We cannot push through a weak Federal law that preempts states and leaves consumers, especially children, without the necessary safeguards and protections.

Protecting children online is a top priority for Google.

I urge you to direct an audit of all applications in the 'Designed for Families' section of the Play Store to ensure compliance with COPPA, remove any app that violates the law, and improve app vetting in this section going forwards.

I hope we can work with Spirit Lake and the State to address the issues raised by this antiquated law.

The bills correct historic wrongs related to lands and jurisdiction of these tribes and work toward fulfilling the United States' trust responsibility.

The Act established the Delaware River Basin Restoration Program, which is a non-regulatory program under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Can you guarantee that no population of U.S. travelers will be disproportionately inconvenienced, harassed, or discriminated against by this new TSA technology?

I would urge you to halt full implementation until there is clear transparency into its effects this technology is having on our travelers.

So why would we want to implement technology that can be inaccurate for a large segment of the population?

Do you know if the technology that the TSA is using was tested on enough people of different genders and ethnicities so that it does not have the inherent bias that many of these technologies have?

I think it has been very enlightening--your comments on where we should head and where we should really rethink some of the policies we have had in the past.

I urge the FTC to investigate these apps to ensure that the law is being followed.

The Puyallup Tribe greatly appreciates the work of this Committee to empower Indian Nations and their citizens through the preservation and expansion of Native language.

I know that your parents who are here and behind you are very proud of you, but your little brother went to sleep during your testimony, so I don't want to wake him up.

Several of the things I have heard over and over again is that the grant length for Esther Martinez should go to five years rather than three years and, also, the minimum class size should go from 10 to 5.

And you specifically highlight the importance of funding to support growth of local leadership, staffing, facilities, materials, mentorships, and a tribal language teaching workforce, among other things.
