A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented New Mexico's 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2009 to 2021. What is clear to me is that there are provisions included in this legislation that support the restoration of the Rio Chama and the bosque, which I appreciate and I applaud.
