I want to join him in commenting that Hillary Rodham Clinton had potentially one of the most difficult transformations ever, maybe, becoming a Member of the Senate. It is also fair to say after only 100 days she has probably had one of the most remarkably successful transformations ever made to the Senate. Rarely has someone come to the Senate and devoted themselves so diligently to the details of their work, meeting their responsibilities to their State with such bipartisan acclaim by her colleagues. I think the people of New York should be very proud, under difficult circumstances and the changing of public responsibilities, of how well she accomplished the feat and now how proudly she represents the State of New York. Since the fortunes of New Jersey are so closely tied to those of our modest neighbor across the river, we are grateful that New York is so well represented. I congratulate her on her introduction to the Senate.
