Their belief that participating in rules-based international order, including international treaties, joining our peers on the global stage to set standards, establish mechanisms for security and economic cooperation and vehicles for approaching common threats from communicable diseases to nuclear weapons undermines our sovereignty is bluntly wrong, and it is misplaced.
