Over the past few months, Mayor Baraka, as well as advocates, faith leaders, and members of our Congressional delegation, have protested the opening of a private immigration detention center in the city of Newark.

It is a disaster for working- and middle-class New Jersey commuters and residents who need or want to visit lower Manhattan and now have to pay a big fee on top of the bridge and tunnel tolls they already pay.

It goes with the territory if you’re in North America in early to mid-summer, playing a lot of late afternoon [and] early evening matches.
