Thank you for scheduling this hearing to consider the re-nomination of Dr. Allison Macfarlane to be Chairwoman of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

We must continue to be thorough in this investigation and analysis to ensure that this risk is eliminated.

I believe it is time for this subcommittee and others to give serious thought to the way the IRS is funded.

The IRS must be funded at a level that enables it to provide necessary taxpayer assistance and to enforce the laws.
