I am deeply troubled with this budget. The Coast Guard does not have adequate funding to do everything we expect them to do.

Efforts to consolidate these grants could shift critical grant funds away from the areas most at-risk for a terror attack, like my State of New Jersey.

We need to look beyond legal distinctions or classes of harms to look at the erosion of trust in the ecosystem.

We must continue to be thorough in this investigation and analysis to ensure that this risk is eliminated.
