I am deeply troubled with this budget. The Coast Guard does not have adequate funding to do everything we expect them to do.

I have long been concerned with the understaffing of air traffic controllers at Newark Liberty and I am concerned the sequestration-imposed air traffic controller furloughs will disproportionately impact this airport.

I strongly supported President Obama's rescission of the Mexico City Policy, also known as the Global Gag Rule, upon taking office.

We also need to expand our research into climate change so we better understand the coming impacts, and how to mitigate them.
