This is a crucial hearing because many of my constituents and all New Jerseyans understand that Amtrak service is critical to our economy and to our livelihood.

The Biden administration has taken many steps in order to secure the equipment that we need at home.

It is time for Congress to require that freight railroads participate in the Confidential Close Call Reporting System.

I celebrate the return of this service--and note that it took three years to restore.
