I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of title III, add the following new section: SEC. 3007. REPORT ON SMART METER SECURITY CONCERNS. Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Energy shall transmit to Congress a report on the weaknesses in currently available smart meters' security architecture and features, including an absence of event logging, as described in the Government Accountability Office testimony entitled ``Critical Infrastructure Protection: Cybersecurity of the Nation's Electricity Grid Requires Continued Attention'' on October 21, 2015. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 542, the gentleman from New Jersey (Mr. Norcross) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from New Jersey.
