I think it would be objectionable to the overwhelming majority of Americans if they knew more of the truth of what those traps do and how this legislation would open up nearly all Federal lands to such a barbaric practice that has some pretty negative consequences that are unintended.
Booker believes the public would oppose legislation allowing inhumane trapping practices on federal lands.
