I thank the gentlewoman from California for her wise and compassionate concern and sharing of information. I want to remind us that there are so many vestiges of discrimination against the LGBT community, not the least of which is also denying them access to public accommodations. This isn't what this country stands for. This isn't who we are. We are better than that. So I am glad to have this opportunity to highlight some of our issues and concerns and the support that we have for the LGBT community. For everyone, anyone, and all of us celebrating this month, I wish you a happy Pride Month. Mr. Speaker, I conclude my Special Order hour, and I yield back the balance of my time. ____________________
