I am particularly interested in the Sahel area of Africa, because I have been in other briefings where it has been brought to my attention that the lack of our presence, the lack of any diplomatic presence, the lack of any sort of relationship-building presence is very dangerous in this area because it is one in which governance is very weak, opportunities are very fruitful, and we are not making the kinds of connections that we should be making to sort-of counteract some of this.
