“This was a sobering experience. It was elevating by every stretch of the imagination to be with the troops in the field. Some may disagree with policy on this floor, but this is America, and we are allowed to do that. The troops understand that there is a difference in debating policy and supporting their efforts. We are 100 percent behind our troops and they know that and we know that as proud Americans. So God bless this country, regardless if you are in Camp Doha, if you are in Coyote, or if you are in New York or New Jersey, if you are in Camp Ganci, named after that great fire chief from New York City, we are here 100 percent in support of you.
