I think federal preemption is important but I don't think you should undermine strong consumer protections that are currently held and enjoyed at the State level.

Consumers should have the peace of mind that their data is protected in a responsible way.

So in the event that our personal data becomes exposed, we need to be able to trust that the companies in possession of our data will notify us of the exposure.

Unfortunately, after all this progress, we are starting to see significant and worrisome policies-particularly those related to intellectual property-being adopted by the Indian government over the past two years.
