The Journal of the American Medical Association published the results of a study on the effectiveness of condoms, which are the focus of most of the safe sex programs out there. It is 1,251 women whose partners consistently used condoms participated in the study. By its end, 34 percent of them had either contracted a sexually transmitted disease or became pregnant. How do we teach our children safe sex, how to use contraceptives, how to use a condom, and look them straight in the eye and say they are safe?
