It is time that we take that expertise and that leadership that nurses show every day, put it in among the highest ranks.

Police protection is poor, schools are not top notch, you have no place to live and the list goes on.

And that is one of the concerns that I have.

I am a big believer, as a lot of people at SAMHSA, a lot of people working on this, that we can do better in terms of treating the whole person.

We need more people and we need more resources if we are going to have situational awareness on the border.
