I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to speak with you today about our work in supporting local business and the workforce.
We appreciate the opportunity to hear your thoughts and learn from your experiences on the very important topic of higher education and job growth.
So, the goal is to make sure that when the students come out, they have the skills that they need to get a job in the industry.
But I will tell you that we have lots of people graduating from well-known institutions in this country, 4-year institutions, graduate schools, who have not been prepared for jobs either.
Escalated intervention by Washington bureaucrats has done little to fix the problems in our education system.
Other than the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), is there a single program in the Department that has demonstrated measured success as a direct result of spending from the federal government?
Do you know of any feedback that has been received from the Department of Education that is useful to a local school district?
