Those who cherish religious freedom have noted that elections have consequences and those consequences are being manifested in today's hearing.
It is unacceptable that congressional Democrats...have consistently ignored how clear the First Amendment is in affirming religious practice as a fundamental human right.
Committee Republicans will continue to stand up for religious freedom and oppose policies that disrespect and diminish the faith of any American.
Woman, I thank the gentleman for yielding. Madam Chairwoman, this amendment is about preventing harm to communities and supporting local control. The Youth PROMISE program was enacted as a part of the broader and very bipartisan Juvenile…
It is my honor to recognize today's guest chaplain, Pastor Ryan Hodges of Rocky Face Baptist Church in Hiddenite, North Carolina. In 2005, Pastor Hodges earned his theology degree from Cherry Grove Baptist Bible College in Wilkesboro. He…
For too long we have believed in the stereotype of college students as being young, bright-eyed youth, fresh out of high school.
The old ways are hurting American students and businesses, and something needs to be done about it.
Bold reforms are necessary to put the post-secondary system on track to meet the needs of students.
Academic rigor is critical to preparing students for college level course work and the jobs that follow.
Could I inquire as to how much time I have remaining. The Acting CHAIR. The gentlewoman from North Carolina has 3 minutes remaining.

They didn't care about those students. They just shut them down arbitrarily and didn't give them a chance to help those students get their transcripts.
The fact that both a regional and a national accreditor were caught up in this tells me we can't single out any one accreditor, that all accreditors need to improve their analysis of quality assurance and continuous improvement.
I invest a lot of time in these hearings, and I'm on two committees. And honestly, on this subject we have the most experts in the Congress of any subject that I am aware of, bar none.
The Democrat Party is obsessed with so-called facts about for-profit schools.
