Are the outcomes of the disability ratings that are given by VA and QTC, are they tracked?

The purpose of the TARP funds--and you know--is to provide authority and facility to the Secretary so he can restore liquidity and stability to the financial system, protect home values, college funds, and retirement accounts.

So the question is: Who can hold their feet to the fire? Or am I shouting into the wind, blowing in the wrong direction?

During the debate last fall on the TARP, I was concerned that there were not enough limitations on the TARP money.

I have a level of frustration in that GM, with taxpayer dollars, has chosen to do business with a mining operation that has very, very little environmental restrictions and very, very poor wages and basically sold our workers down the tube.

Do you believe this act should be extended out?

Do you think it was appropriate for GM... to negate a contract with a U.S. company?

I thought it was important... to spend it here.

I would hope that part of that group of experts that you get in the room are some of the fighting men and women that have come back

Because our borders are only as strong as their weakest link Jon supports sealing up all security gaps and expects to see the work done as responsibly and efficiently as possible.

I would bring them in early. I could make a lot of comparisons to what happens in offices; but if you bring them in early, you get their perspective early.

A lot of our folks come from rural areas, and as Senator Tester commented, they just want to go fishing.

I know other folks like Congressman Terry and Senator Nelson have also been concerned with this VAMC.

As a former Governor, I have made many trips here, and am deeply aware of the community's need for a modern and highly effective VAMC.

I just think that this is an opportune time in the middle of a potential--not a potential--in the middle of a crisis to really take a lot at our regulation system and say let us simplify it, let us make it lean and mean and simplified.

We do not want to stop them from controlling their own destiny.

We need to make sure that it is a community effort amongst the world.

Iran's potential nuclear capabilities, if they come to pass, will have a destabilizing impact on the world.

the truth is we have to get to a point where we start reducing the backlog, and we are not there yet.

If there is a change of address and we do not discover it for a while, it makes the ability to service that veteran a lot more difficult.
