I'm hopeful that we can stay on track to meet the goal of developing our heavy lift capacity for operation by 2016.

We would encourage you to move ahead on it. We hope you don't do like we do here in the Senate sometimes, and just kind of filibuster, talk, talk, and nothing really happens.

If you've been watching television, we've had huge damage done to forests, businesses, and homes in our State of Mississippi because of the flooding of rivers and streams.

I appreciate the good work done by the USFS, not only in managing the Federal forest lands in our State, but the national impact that the work you do makes on our economy.

The mission of the EPA is to protect human health and preserve the environment, which is vital to the sustainability and quality of life.

But, it is harming vehicles. I'm going to start sending over to you every email I get from Maine from a Mainer who's had his snowmobile engine ruined or his lawnmower or boat engine fouled because of the concentration of ethanol.

It is important to ensure that nothing comparable to the Deepwater Horizon incident ever happens again.

The entire gulf coast economy has been hurt by the spill, and because we were already suffering from an economic recession, gulf coast residents have been hit harder than most.

I urge you to consider how this lack of energy security affects consumers all over the United States.

These provisions included in the ACA were originally in the Congenital Heart Futures Act, which garnered bi-partisan support.

I am very proud of the fact that my parents were both involved in education.

I am particularly concerned that this elimination will affect the Institutional Development Award (IDeA), which has benefitted my home State of Mississippi.

They both were very strong advocates for Federal assistance to education

I appreciate the fact that in our State of Mississippi we're building Coast Guard vessels.

Operating in such a manner has 'brutal' effects on the readiness of our Nation's defense.

The Coast Guard is really front and center right now on everybody's mind and on everybody's TV screen, with activities of search and rescue, protecting our coastlines, our inlet waterway entrances into our country--a very complex challenge…

One of the things we are proud of in our State is the fact we have a shipbuilding capability on the Mississippi gulf coast at Pascagoula.

Are you satisfied with the request being submitted to the Congress for funding that the FEMA DRF will have money to respond to emergencies that occur?

We look forward to working closely with you to identify our budget needs and to try to respond to them in a thoughtful and expeditious manner.

I would like to join my colleague from Tennessee and express my concerns that we are walking into an area where there is some uncertainty.
