I would like to add that if we finalize the collocation of these facilities, it will require that we finish the construction of the third floor of the VA Regional Office in Jackson. The VA estimates that it will require approximately $1.45 million to finish the construction of the third floor in this building. The VA is currently paying $590,221 annually to rent the equivalent office space in this area. It is because they have failed to complete the construction of the third floor. The VA projects the completion and collocation would pay for itself within five years and provide savings over $500,000 in the years following. By ensuring the completion of this project, we not only fulfill our pledge to our veterans but we will better serve the taxpayers by being good stewards of their money. I believe this project just makes good business sense.
