if you can get the American public, 80 percent of the American public to agree on anything, that should be considered unanimous.

It is amazing how this place works. Things are planned all at the same time and typically the same committees, but that shouldn't be taken as we don't think this is important. This is of paramount importance.
You need to call things what they are and you need to address them when they occur.
I think that this is the problem that the administration has had and now the administration and Congress are having is this breakdown in an understanding of respective positions in the process.
It disturbs me greatly to have people talk about giving an organization that is not interested in peace around the globe.
But all you are going to ask for, based on what you are testifying to this morning, is that Congress lift the sanctions.
I believe it is Article 1 Section 8 says that it is the sole responsibility of Congress to enter into agreements with foreign nations.
It is amazing to me that this administration apparently puts Congress and the U.N. on the same level in terms of who they are going to deal with.
The vote may prove to be the most significant political event in Africa this year.
We can't wait forever. We look forward to following up on these critical issues.
But when is it going to get bad enough that the President and this administration are actually going to follow through on promises that have been made to the Ukrainian people?
