I think your point about it here is, we can't agree it's Tuesday in this body.

A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented Minnesota's 1st congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019. It is so refreshing to hear the rejection of the simplistic look at things and to get at the heart of this.
I'm fascinated by this because I see this--you mentioned something and you said never in your diplomatic career had you seen such a misnomer of the reality.
You can easily prove that grass doesn't grow. Take a chair, go out into your yard, and sit for several hours watching the grass.
If we do not commemorate and we do not remember those who were willing to risk all, it puts all of us at risk of history forgetting the lessons that were there.
It's critical for us to understand and it's certainly critical for us as Americans to do soul-searching of our own.
What do we need to do? Because it is about the personal, it is about remembering those names...
