It is a moral responsibility. Lots of people may say thank you, but the followthrough that we do to make sure that care is absolutely the best available is something we have to continue to strive for with absolutely zero mistakes in this.

We are here today to hear from you, to do the most important job we do in Congress and that is to care for our warriors.

I commend your service and I thank you for helping to educate us today.

I look forward to listening to the testimony being presented today, and am encouraged that there will be future discussions and oversight on this matter as well.

It is critical that Congress conducts strict oversight into how this program is developed and implemented to assure that our Nation's servicemembers and veterans are well served.

I agree with the Chairman that it is important that this Committee takes a look at the progress being made in implementing this legislation.

These three didn't come here for pity or for handouts or for anything. They simply wanted care that this Nation has the ability to deliver.

I am the biggest supporter of what we do for our veterans, but I would be remiss to say how incredibly disappointed I am.

I do believe at times it is been there as a crutch for a failure to deliver at times.

Well, I appreciate that, but now I feel even worse for our three veterans sitting here, knowing that we didn't strap the rockets on this one then and get it going.

So this is a funding issue? If we had given more money these guys would have received better care?

So you can rest assured that this Committee is absolutely committed to putting this in the past

This is exactly what we are trying to alleviate, and it is absolutely diminishing the care of our warriors

Your only desire is to try and live as independently as you possibly can.

By developing renewable sources of energy such as wind and solar power, biofuels, and geothermal heat, we can move beyond fossil fuels.

I hope that we can work with him to accomplish these goals.

We need to make sure interoperability between the Department of Defense and the VA is one where we use our innovation and use our technology.

VA care is the best in the world. It is the best care anywhere.

This is now three budgets in a row that have met the independent budgets of our veterans' service organizations in the care of our veterans.

As a member of the House Veterans Affairs Committee and a 24-year veteran myself, I spend a lot of time focused on veterans issues.

The time has come for us to harness innovation and ingenuity of the American people to develop long-term solutions to our energy crisis.

I am very much encouraged by the President's commitment in his budget outline to making gains on all these fronts.
