Sequestration is not only wrong-headed, it's dangerous.

We need a farm bill that helps the margins, not re-establishes the status quo.

I urge the House Committee on Agriculture to support the following amendments: Family Farms First and Training for Beginning Farmers.

I urge the House Committee on Agriculture to re-align our nation's food and farming priorities in such a way that the playing field for small farm business is leveled.

Thus, we urge the House Agriculture Committee to include at least $25 million annual mandatory funds for BFRDP to meet the need of today's aspiring farmers and ranchers.

VVA strongly favors enactment of H.R. 3670, to require the Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) to abide by the 'Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act'(USERA).

I concur with my colleague from Iowa. Contrary to popular belief, we share a lot of commonality from Minnesota and Iowa.

And I assure you your father will get the best care anywhere as he deserves.

There is no reason for TSA, or any other Federal agency or entity, to not be subject to the requirements of USERA.

I appreciate the preparation that is put into this and it helps us understand and serve our constituents much better.

If the U.S. Government cannot be the model employer in taking care of our veterans, who can be?

Tackling our national debt will require us to make some tough choices.

I have returned over $300,000 in taxpayer funds from my office budget to the U.S. Treasury.

Our communities need us to set our priorities straight.

We need a highway bill and to have a highway bill we need a budget capable of accommodating one.

The VA suffers under the perception of being a very isolated institution, and it has a stigma.

Our job is to deliver the best care that can be possibly be given to our veterans.

It is unsustainable too.

So this is where democracy works its best and works its will, and it is very important that we have this.

We cannot forsake our veterans. We must make those hard choices and I think this budget is doing that.

I think all of us know it will end up being better care for our veterans, and the plus side is it will save us money.

I think you guys can do it better. And again, I would make the argument if we do it on the front end and we plan accordingly, I think we will save money as well as integrating.
