We are bringing Members of Congress here to see what you all see everyday, to hear your desires, receive your input, and therefore make better laws and policies when we are in the halls of Congress back in Washington.

The President's budget across the entire Administration is a roadmap to spending more, and mortgaging our children's future for further expansion of government control.

If you are unable to fix any of these issues administratively, I expect your agency's assistance in legislation that will rectify these problems in statute.

I spoke the truth with passion. And when you speak the truth with passion and protecting my constituents, it is with passion.

You claimed the withdrawal that you forced upon my constituents is in the boundary waters. That is wrong.

As I said earlier, small businesses are the engine and the innovators in our economy and we have to treat them as such.

I have always said you will have to watch what he does, not what he says.

Let's treat them like that. Let's treat them with respect. I do not see that necessarily coming from this administration.

Do you think that is good for small businesses? As a former small business owner myself I thought the regulations, any regulations that were not necessary would be detrimental to us.

It is imperative we pass H.J. Resolution 49 to undo this uplisting and return some sanity to the Endangered Species Act while we can.

The Fish and Wildlife Service chose to uplist the northern long-eared bat to endangered, a misguided decision that will have lasting consequences.

I am a co-sponsor of Subcommittee Chairman Bentz's CRA to return to a reasonable critical habitat definition...

That is why it is important we move these CRAs.

The true goal is not species conservation in their mind. It is list the species, then stop the development, then file a lawsuit if needed, and then fundraise, rinse, and repeat.

Unfortunately, like any well-meaning law, it is being abused by an activist class of lawyers and others ideologically opposed to any sort of human progress.

The Endangered Species Act is half a century old. Its intended use was for listing species, conserving the species, and then returning that species back to responsible management.

To me, that is unacceptable.

When I voted for the Great American Outdoors Act in 2020, I was voting for Voyageurs to receive deferred maintenance funding.
