It isn't only to protect, but it is also to guarantee prosperity for everyone, especially those that are risking their lives.

This budget... decreases every single program that guarantees that prosperity for Americans.

No one really disputes that our military being smart and strong is an essential part of protecting our country. But I tend to agree with the President when he says get rid of the fat and get rid of the waste.
