It is appropriate from time to time for the Department of Justice to review these consent decrees to ensure that they are meeting their intended goal of preserving and promoting competition.

Our focus today is on striking the right balance between the impacts on consumers, main street businesses, and those broadcasting content through radio, TV, satellite, and new digital services.

Thank you very much, Mr. Chairman. I congratulate you on taking over the Subcommittee.

This hearing focuses on an important and timely topic, the state of competition in the music industry.

Does anyone else want to respond to that, this idea?

I just think it sounds like something we would normally do to protect domestic violence victims.

I think it affects several other states with these kinds of programs, including Arizona, Virginia, Minnesota.

I just want to thank your agency for being willing to look at where it could be relocated.

I think you heard that a number of us were working on this because the space that was picked for the new location was not actually--it had no bus route, nothing, and a number of the people that go there take buses.

I am also glad you found an attorney that understands the law. There is not that many of them.

We have in there a national sex trafficking strategy.

I believe if they did, there would be a cry that we have never heard before in this country to stop trafficking.

It is still a mystery to most people when you go and talk to them about human trafficking.

I think there are about a dozen States now that have the safe harbor law.

One of the issues I have been working on since I got here has been cell phone unlocking.

It was one of the first bills I introduced, The Cell Phone Bill of Rights.

Our bill makes clear that the owner of the vehicle is the rightful owner of the data collected by that vehicle's EDR.

This is a very important issue, of course, the future of connected technologies.

We cannot afford to build $150 million bridges without some infusion of private equity.

Exporting of the goods to our neighbors to the north and south and bringing goods in from Mexico and Canada is really important.

But you are glad we passed the bill to see infrastructure improvements?

I am very glad that we were able to pass the user fee increase from the River Act.
