Amy Jean Klobuchar is an American politician serving as the senior United States senator from Minnesota since 2007. A member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, she has focused on issues such as healthcare, infrastructure, and technology during her tenure. Klobuchar has been recognized for her bipartisan efforts and has played a significant role in various legislative initiatives, including those aimed at improving access to healthcare and addressing climate change.
One of the things that Congressman Oberstar and I have learned is that there is supposed to be money set aside for bridge maintenance, but oftentimes that money goes to building new projects.
I just think it is unfair if we think that kids in certain urban districts are going to have the same kind of food that their parents are going to send to school with them.
But the way we have been doing it hasn't been working. These kids are getting fatter and fatter.
If it was working, I would say, fine, Mr. Felton, but it doesn't seem to be working for these kids.
I just do not think this is the way we want to go. I do not think you do either in terms of having individual patients trying to negotiate rates.
I want to save money here and I see this as saving money in health care costs and saving money in how we buy, purchase food.

this is a safety-net program for our elderly, and we really must make sure that it's fiscally responsible and sustainable.
