What I want to know is, is there any way to prevent a majority vote from using the Social Security trust funds as a part of reducing the deficit for balancing the budget?

that is a little unfair. I do not think anyone objected to flags being flown and so forth. You make a good point on some of the other things, but that is a little unfair on the flag.
