Public health is too important an issue to sacrifice.

It is not in the public's best interest to pass legislation that incentivizes frivolous litigation in an effort to stall or avoid compliance.

It is really a nonpartisan issue, and it is something we have got to get right.

I am committed to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to pass bipartisan legislation.

I want to support what my colleague from Illinois, Jan Schakowsky, was talking about in the technology for the HOT CAR bills.

So would you agree that the high cost of hearing aids is a major reason and that more people who suffer from hearing loss are not using them, and we need to find a way to do that?

But even though it is a common condition and hearing aids have been around for decades, most people don't have access, and it has got a negative impact on their overall health.

So, to me, it is clear that we would have potential in reduced health costs and improved outcomes by increasing access to hearing aids.

Nobody should feel isolated, confused, or shut out.

I think this is a very important hearing, and it, quite frankly, is one of my passions.

The President's budget proposal looks to eliminate $300 million in spending on the GLRI.

Outdoor recreation is not only a driver for Michigan's economy it is a way of life.
