But there's been similar examples where delisting of wolves did not occur because judges noted a lack of protections as a reason to not delist the wolves.

Some want to roll back those protections.

The Endangered Species Act has a remarkable track record. Ninety-nine percent of the species that have qualified for its protections are still with us today.

I'm optimistic that all of these species can be saved.

It would seem to me if we really want to address this issue, because I truly do believe in legitimate oversight...

I want to be on the record that I agree legitimate oversight is absolutely the right and the responsibility of Congress.

I just always think that there is more that we should be doing.

I think the facts speak otherwise. BLM has offered over 4 million acres of land to lease for oil and gas development.

Did any of these reports and stories ever get reported to you? Did you ever observe them?

In America we do not normally boil water. We turn on the faucet and drink it, and trust the government to provide us with water that is safe.
