Given the Republican overreach we have seen, and I dare say we will see today, a better title for this hearing would be, 'Republican Micromanagement of the SEC Run Amok.'

I want to say, look, no one dismisses the problems on our southern border, at least, certainly, not on this side of the aisle.

We owe it to the American people where their hard-earned tax dollars are going and what are the benefits of that.
