And in the process, I, we are looking to your leadership to let the American people know the real facts. I hope the leadership from the Democratic party in this House will begin to engage in an honest debate. If they have nothing to hide, if they want to defend the welfare state, let's face it, reasonable people can disagree about rescission bills, about welfare reform, about regulatory reform, about tort reform. Just do not hide in the failed policies of the past. Be proactive, look to the future, join us in serving the American people, but to the extent they continue to engage in phony numbers and misrepresentations to the American people on the important issues of the day, we need to call them on it, because to the extent we indulge them, we share the blame and rightfully so.
