Do you believe as experts in the field that there is going to be a technological answer to this so we can actually create a secure cyber environment?

The problem, of course, is now we've got these outside entities that are trying to invade and undermine and so on.

We know from the national intelligence community about the fact that they believed with high confidence that there was an organized campaign by Russia to subvert the 2016 election.

If they are cyber vulnerable, I think it makes the whole country cyber vulnerable.

Political parties are public instrumentalities capable of State action for certain purposes.

The Democratic National Committee would be a proper object for inquiry and investigation by this committee.

The way the Supreme Court upheld it is simply to say that anybody can join, anybody has the right to participate in the democratic dialogue and discussion in elections.

I think that Liberty University, for example, should no more be able to exclude a gay student group than Harvard or Berkeley should be able to exclude an antigay student group.

Higher education has been a critical force in advancing free inquiry in America.
