We certainly don't want to turn a blind eye to the fact that there was cyber sabotage, cyber espionage, and an attempt to derail the electoral process.

I think it is absolutely essential if we are going to proceed with dissolving the Election Assistance Commission.

The Ranking Member's idea of reforming the Election Assistance Commission dealing with whatever problems have come up makes a lot more sense than simply scrapping it altogether.

I think it would send a dangerous message to the people of the United States and to the world for us now to essentially abolish the only Federal agency we have tasked with looking at the problems in our election system.
