I certainly want to make sure that NASA works vigorously to make sure that costs are kept under control as the agency embarks on the joint Mars program.

As we continue our efforts to put our economy back on track, we should be committed to fostering the creation of small businesses and give them the support and resources they need to succeed.

I believe that there is a lot of common ground on these matters, and I fully expect that we will be able to work together in a collaborative and bipartisan way to address them.

I have long championed providing incentives to companies that co-locate research and development activities with domestic manufacturing.

There is much that can be done to reduce the regulatory burden on emerging small businesses by reviewing duplicative or outdated regulations.

We should be committed to fostering the creation of small businesses and give them the support and resources they need to succeed.

I am certain there isn't a person in this hearing room today that doesn't recognize how important small businesses are to our economy.

I really appreciate this hearing because it is a reminder that when I first joined this Committee when I came in 2008, and we began really looking seriously at the prospect of losing Shuttle capacity, these are many of the same questions…

We have about a $2 trillion infrastructure deficit. That is money that we really need to spend on infrastructure.

They are urging the EPA, in fact, to act quickly to implement the rules.

It makes entire sense that the EPA has really taken this on to try to balance all of those interests.
